Test driving a private vehicle
How private-seller test drives work
When a vehicle is listed by a private owner, Indigo facilitates the test drive so both sides know what to expect. The owner remains the owner throughout.

We confirm who you are before arranging a drive in someone's own vehicle.

Licence information
We check the licence you hold is current and suitable for the vehicle.

Test-drive agreement
A simple agreement sets out responsibilities for everyone during the drive.

Appointment
We agree a time and meeting place that works for you and the owner.

Key handover
Keys are handed over at the appointment and returned at the end of the drive.
Dealer vehicles are test driven under the dealer's own process; we pass your request straight to them.
